Ever wish some of those stylish kid's threads came in your size? I only have a handful of fashion labels I can say that about and this is definitely one of them. We Were Small. Definitely what I'd be wearing if I were small. Or if they made them for the grown up set. Love the graphic tees, the colour palettes and relaxed sense of style. These threads are just made for kickin' back in.

I spotted these a few days ago on Steph's lovely blog and just can't get them out of my mind. 'The Grizzly' bike from new Australian design company Taika is handmade right here in Oz and sure to be seen cruising the streets any day now. I'm popping the Sea Monster on Oscar's Xmas wish list. Cause I know he'd just love to have one. Even if he can't say so himself.

A few months ago I wrote about my little guy's struggle with seizures (you can read that post here). Since that time, it's been a long process of appointments, blood tests, waiting, more appointments, more blood tests and more agonising waiting. Today we finally received some answers. One of the best Paediatric Neurologists diagnosed my little guy with Watanabe Syndrome. An extremely niche form of epilepsy that most doctors are still unaware of. A benign partial epilepsy of infancy. Most children grow out of it within a year. Over the next 5 weeks we are reducing his anti-convulsant medication and there is a chance that he'll have more clusters of seizures once he's off the medication completely. But, we now know what to do if this happens. There is a plan. Thanks to the awesome Dr Lawson at Sydney Children's Hospital.

Note to self: always, always listen to your intuition. A few doctors (my GP included) suggested that a paediatric neurological consult was unnecessary. The referral sat on my desk for weeks before I picked up the phone and called to make an appointment. I faxed the pile of test results to his office and crossed my fingers that Dr Lawson's review of Oscar's condition would warrant a meeting. I was right. And because I listened to my heart, I now have answers. And some peace of mind.

If only my feisty four year old Poppy was into dolls. One of these custom-made Warm Sugar beauties would be on it's way to my house right about now…
